Matías Laso Appointed as CEO of AGUNSA

January 20, 2025 – AGUNSA is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Matías Laso Polanco as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. With extensive experience in the port sectors and managerial roles, Mr. Laso will lead AGUNSA into its next phase of growth and expansion.

Mr. Laso is an Industrial Civil Engineer, graduated from the University of Concepción, and has over 25 years of experience. He is an expert in the creation and launch of companies, strategy development, team leadership, and the development of new businesses and products. He possesses outstanding skills in leadership, negotiation, communication, team building, and decision-making. Results-oriented, quality-focused, and adept at problem-solving, he has extensive experience in negotiating with unions and clients, both nationally and internationally.

In his new role, Mr. Laso will be tasked with further deepening the group’s international presence, as well as maintaining and strengthening AGUNSA, ensuring the highest standards of corporate governance. AGUNSA extends its sincerest wishes for success to Mr. Laso in his new leadership role.
