Closure of the driving school in Iquique: a step forward for inclusion and employment

The closing event of the driving school in the Tarapacá region took place, an initiative in collaboration between AGUNSA and CargoTrans. On this occasion, 18 women were trained to obtain their A4 license, thanks to the course provided by the Humberstone Driving School. This project was supported by SENCE and OTIC SOFOFA, demonstrating the commitment of various entities to training and employment in the region. The event was attended by prominent company representatives, including Francisco Valdivia, Logistics Manager, and Susana Cabrera, Training Leader. Additionally, local authorities such as Iván Escares, Regional Director of SENCE Tarapacá; Luis Avendaño, Director of Traffic of the Municipality of Alto Hospicio; and César Mamani, Head of the Employment and Training Unit of SENCE Tarapacá Companies, were present.

The purpose of this project is to create a valuable link with the community, helping to reduce the shortage of professional drivers in the Tarapaca Region and, at the same time, being a fundamental tool for job creation. This joint effort reflects the commitment of the institutions involved to the inclusion and professional development of women in the transportation sector. The note will be published on Agunsa’s website, highlighting this important collaboration.
