On Wednesday, January 16th, the economic offers for the concession of Chacalluta Airport of Arica opened, with a 15 year contract tendered by the Ministry of Public Works (MOP).

This concession corresponds to the second tender for this airport and primarily consists in the expansion, reparation, conservation and replacement of the infrastructure, equipment and existing facilities at the airport. It considers the expansion of the passenger terminal by practically doubling, from 2 to 5 boarding bridges. In addition, it also contemplates the improvement of the current infrastructure, new facilities and state of the art technology.
