AGUNSA-Sacyr present the best offer for the Airport tender of Arica-Chile

On Wednesday, January 16th, the economic offers for the concession of Chacalluta Airport of Arica opened, with a 15 year contract tendered by the Ministry of Public Works (MOP).

AGUNSA, in consortium with the Spanish company SACYR, have presented the best technical and economic proposal, out of four competitors, and is expected to be awarded the contract in the coming months in order to start operations in April 2019.

This concession corresponds to the second tender for this airport and primarily consists in the expansion, reparation, conservation and replacement of the infrastructure, equipment and existing facilities at the airport. It considers the expansion of the passenger terminal by practically doubling, from 2 to 5 boarding bridges. In addition, it also contemplates the improvement of the current infrastructure, new facilities and state of the art technology.
