AGUNSA obtains IMCA certification

Members of IMCA are offshore engineering contractors, both surface and submarine. This certification (International Marine Contractors Association) has as a purpose to improve the performance in the marine contracting industry and the execution of marine works throughout the world. This is achieved by leveraging the expertise of all of the members through conferences, seminars and meetings, and in publishing leading standards of technical and operating guidelines in key areas such as safety, quality and offshore performance.

IMCA holds consultative status at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and is very active in international regulatory and policy matters in the upstream industry.

The incorporation into this entity certifies and assures that our jobs offshore are conducted under the strict standards of the organization (IMCA), and allows us to develop all of our activities with the principal companies both in Chile and on an international level.

We have already started to operate in two projects with SK COMSA (Shiploader Collahuasi and Teck, Quebrada Blanca).
