AGUNSA strengthens its commitment to education through the Buen Vecino program

As part of the Buen Vecino (Good Neighbor) program, the Placilla Container Depot opened its doors to the local educational community, marking the beginning of a new phase of community engagement activities in the area.
On this occasion, we welcomed 20 senior students from the Port Operations program at Matilde Brandau de Roos High School in Valparaíso. The session was led by Eduardo Salgado, National Head of Container Depot, who, together with the Risk Prevention team, supervisors, and depot managers, delivered a technical talk on the management and operation of empty and refrigerated containers.
Students also had the opportunity to observe the machinery in action, with special attention to the Konecranes 1616 container crane, allowing them to connect technical knowledge with real-world logistics operations.
The visit concluded with a breakfast where the AGUNSA team shared experiences and insights with the students, creating a space for meaningful exchange and learning.
This initiative is part of AGUNSA’s Shared Value Model, which strategically promotes technical education and youth employability in the communities where we operate.
We extend our thanks to the entire Placilla team for their dedication and commitment to this valuable experience.
