Francesca Sannazzaro assumes role as new Deputy Manager of Northern Zone Agencies at AGUNSA: "I am convinced that the company has all the capabilities to continue leading and expanding its presence in the region"
With more than 14 years of experience in the maritime, port, and logistics industry, and a distinguished career marked by significant challenges and professional achievements, Francesca Sannazzaro takes on the role of Deputy Manager of Northern Zone Agencies at AGUNSA.
Throughout her career, she has been part of leading companies in the sector such as Agental, CSAV, Codelco, Ultramar, ITI, CEC, and currently AGUNSA, participating in high-impact projects and facing various challenges within the industry.
“I feel very proud and motivated to be part of AGUNSA. It inspires me to see how the holding has managed to consolidate sustained growth, a strong market position, and a reputation built on professionalism, reliability, and excellence,” says Francesca Sannazzaro, the new Deputy Manager of Northern Zone Agencies at AGUNSA.
Sannazzaro has been involved in high-impact projects within the maritime, port, and logistics sectors, facing important challenges and developing alongside outstanding professional teams.
Among the most relevant milestones in her career is becoming the first female Agent in Chile, setting a precedent in an industry historically led by men. She also assumed an important executive role by representing a Chilean terminal at an international conference held in Panama, where she engaged with representatives from other ports across the Americas in discussions and strategic analysis for the sector.
Another significant moment in her professional development was advising the United Nations on matters related to the industry for Latin America, an experience that allowed her to broaden her perspective on the strategic impact of the maritime and logistics sector on a global level.
Beyond the professional challenges these milestones represented, both experiences entailed great responsibility and, at the same time, the opportunity to contribute to a more diverse industry, demonstrating that capability, preparation, and commitment transcend any gender barriers.
“They were experiences that taught me the value of perseverance, trusting in one’s own abilities, and daring to take on challenges that often seem impossible,” she explains.
For this reason, Sannazzaro now states she feels prepared and motivated to take on this new challenge at AGUNSA, a company which, she notes, has left an important mark on the maritime, port, and logistics industry. For her, joining the company represents not only a great responsibility, but also a valuable opportunity to continue contributing through her experience, strategic vision, and career background in the sector.
She strongly believes in collaborative work, building trust, and establishing long-term relationships based on mutual commitment. “I am convinced that the best results arise when people work in alignment, motivated, and with a shared purpose,” she says. Likewise, her intention is to be a close support for teams, promoting environments where they can create, innovate, and move forward together in a sustainable way.
At present, her main focus is to support, strengthen, and collaborate with the Northern Zone agencies, driving both new business development and team growth.
Sannazzaro affirms that “the Northern Zone has enormous development potential, especially due to its logistical, mining, and port relevance, and I am convinced that the company has all the capabilities to continue leading and expanding its presence in the region.”
In the short term, one of her priorities is to get to know the teams in depth and understand their dynamics, challenges, and strengths. Her objective is to support and facilitate, “rather than unnecessarily interfere in processes that are already being carried out effectively,” she explains.
In the medium term, one of her main goals is to contribute to strengthening increasingly cohesive, well-prepared teams aligned with the future challenges of the industry, promoting a culture based on collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
Francesca firmly believes that organizations grow sustainably when people feel valued, heard, and committed to a shared purpose. Therefore, one of her focuses “will be to strengthen communication channels, promote collaborative work environments, and continue fostering motivated teams, proud to be part of AGUNSA and connected to the company’s vision,” she reflects.
At AGUNSA, we value the addition of Francesca Sannazzaro to this new professional challenge, confident that her experience, leadership, and strategic vision will be key contributions to continuing to strengthen Northern Zone operations and driving the development of efficient solutions for the maritime, port, and logistics industry.
“I am joining a dynamic organization, with highly prepared and committed teams, with extensive industry experience. That creates a very solid foundation for continued growth and building together,” she concluded.
